Research Project
Happy New Year from the Canadian Pride Historical Society (CPHS)! As we move into 2022 the research project continues to move along at a steady pace.
Since October, we’ve nearly completed the Winnipeg Pride Profile with the community event research being the only remaining piece that needs to be completed. For the several other Manitoba Pride communities, we have begun to do interviews with the leadership (present and former) and hope to have that completed by the spring.
The online research for Edmonton and Calgary is ongoing with Edmonton nearly completed.
At this time we are in a position to confirm that the launch of the Winnipeg and Manitoba Pride Profiles will occur this summer, with a date still to be determined. Stay tuned!
Education Project
The first draft of the Manitoba K-4 lesson plan has been developed and is currently being reviewed. We’ve also recently appointed a new Education Coordinator who will be tackling the Manitoba 5-8 lesson plan over the next few months. We are still in need of a couple more Education Coordinators, If you (or someone you know) are interested, please email us with a copy of your resume at [email protected].
